The Landscaping with Colorado Native Plants (LWCNP) Conference is pleased to offer three grant opportunities annually to promote native plants in our landscapes to benefit pollinators and songbirds, reduce water use, and restore the beauty and health of nature in the places we live, work and play.
Applications are accepted from home gardeners, HOAs, businesses, non-profits, local governments, community associations, schools, senior centers and others!
2025 Grant Opportunities and Descriptions
The Landscaping with Colorado Native Plants (LWCNP) Conference is pleased to offer four grant opportunities for 2025 to promote native plants in our landscapes to benefit pollinators and songbirds, reduce water use, and restore the beauty and health of nature in the places we live, work and play.
All grant money is to be used for plant material only, and all plants must be Colorado natives.
Grants will be awarded based on responses to the rubrics included in the application. Please make sure to respond to all requirements of the grant for which you are applying.
We want your garden journey to inspire others, so documentation is an important part of the process. Grant recipients are required to take photographs before installation, at the end of the first season, and then at least once a year for two more years. Photos submitted as part of this grant will be used in whatever way the LWCNP Conference sees fit. Note that by accepting money for this grant, you are agreeing to submit photographs for the next few years.
Please apply for one grant only:
1) The Allison Peck Residential Grant provides $500 for native plant material to install a new garden or enhance an existing garden in a home landscape. Allison was a pioneer in creating regenerative landscapes that benefit the Earth. Two grants available.
2) The Terra Foundation Residential Grant provides $1,000 for native plant material to install a new garden where turf has been removed in a home landscape. The Terra Foundation is committed to biodiversity and water conservation. Please see additional requirements listed in Section 5. Four grants available.
3) The Public Garden Grant provides $2,000 for public facing native plant material. Businesses, HOAs, non-profits, local governments, community associations, schools, senior centers, etc. are eligible to apply. Public education, access to the land, and ongoing maintenance are key requirements for this grant. Please see additional requirements listed in Section 6. Two grants available.
4) The Terra Foundation Public Garden Grant provides $2,000 for native plant material to install a new garden where turf has been removed in a public landscape. The Terra Foundation is committed to biodiversity and water conservation. Please see additional requirements listed in Sections 5 and 6. Three grants available.
